Guess who we got to hold...
After 5 days we finally got to hold the girls
Sarah and Ada
John and Evie
Ada VERY awake and alert
Evie throwing a bit of a fit...
New digs...
The girls are sharing a room now.
They better get used to it...
Yes, they girls are in those beds.
Update on the Babies
We've been a little busy recently...
(imagine that!)
Here's a run down of what's going on with the babies:
Both babies have been off the ventilator for awhile now, they're now on a simple breathing two prong nose piece, like you see old people on oxygen wear.
Both babies have been weaned off most of their drugs. Right now the only thing they're getting is Electrolytes, and FAT. Yes, that's right they get fat. They also are getting feed through a feeding tube breast milk. They have been taken off their steroids and caffeine (that was to stimulate their brain to remind them to breath)
So things are going quiet well at this point. The doctor actually said they're doing good.
(NICU doctors don't seem to say this often)

Update
Sorry we've had no update for awhile. We've been a little side tracked.
So here's the update:
Sarah is as of today 31 weeks and 2 days.
That makes Wednesday week 32.
Which means that we'll have babies no later then Wednesday as the doctor has informed us!
Sarah had a 31 week ultrasound the other day and they did a full bio-physical scan to get a size estimate.
The estimated weights are:
Baby A : 3 lbs 9 oz (30th percentile for a singleton baby!)
Baby B : 3 lbs 12 oz (45th percentile for a singleton baby!)
So the babies are doing pretty good considering the doctors were hoping for 32 weeks and 3 lbs each.
Please keep the thoughts and prayers coming that Sarah can make it another 5 days and that they are healthy when they come out.

Pea Pod
The garden is growing like weeds recently.
Can't wait to eat some tomatoes.
Monitoring
Sarah gets monitored three times a day.
They (attempt to) monitor each baby's heart rate and Sarah's contractions.
As you can see monitoring is more fun then a barrel of monkey's,
or a belly of babies...

17 days
17 days left until 32 weeks!
We're anxiously counting down the days until 32 weeks.
Sunset from Sarah's window.
Lots and lots of parking lot!
Sarah's stack of reading material to keep her busy.
That is when they're not bothering her between doctors, residents, med students, vital checks, monitoring, food, oh my!
