Ready to go

Ada is all ready to go!
Check it out, she's up on all four.  Both girls have been getting up on all four like this and rocking.  They then push themselves forward and fall.  It's SOOO cute.

Evie practicing in bed.  She uses the crib to push up against.
The way that the girls "use" their cribs, we're lucky that they're still standing.
They kick it, they chew on it, the push on it, they use it as a jungle gym.
Yet for some reason they cry every night when we put them to bed, except last night of course.
Instead of crying they laid in bed talking and laughing for about an hour before they started crying.

She's so serious!

Ok, one more...

First walk of the season

The girls got their first walk of the season.  They were really goofy about it.
They did not look to happy about the whole situation.
They pulled out their oh so cute pouty lips.

They didn't appreciate the stiff breeze.
They would get all goofy and act like they can't breath!
What goof balls.

They did crack a smile about midway through.  We did have to give them a toy to keep them entertained.  Of course they feel asleep about 2 minutes before we got home and they thought that those 2 minutes were good enough for an afternoon nap.

Evie
I think the girls are going to keep their big blue eyes...

The girls love to play with their toy bucket.  It's not necessarily the toys in the bucket that they're interested in, they want to chew on the bucket and the rope.
I think it's time to get a new container for their toys.

Grandma and Grandpa Roberts

Grandma and Grandpa Roberts came to visit again.  The girls always enjoy it because Grandma and Grandpa let them do whatever they want, like play with necklaces, glasses, pull on hair, you get the point!

Grandma and Evie

Evie trying to get Grandma's necklace.

Ada getting Grandpa's mustache.
She loved the mustache!  John will not be growing one though.

It was a nice visit from Grandma and Grandpa and the girls are excited about them coming again.

Magazine time

Ada still loves her magazines.
She gets a little cranky when she can't get to "her" magazines.

She prefers the Real Simple magazine.  Not sure why, probably because that's the one her Mama likes.
We have to watch to make sure she doesn't eat the paper.

And we don't want to leave Evie out today.
Look, they're finally getting a little bit of hair!
Whenever anyone asks about their hair John always says "That's an upgrade we didn't pay for."
Soon he won't get to tell people that.
Thank goodness...

Couple of pictures

Nothing exciting going on today, so just a couple of pictures.
This picture is pretty misleading...
Evie looks HUGE compared to Ada, she's not.  They're still the same size, Evie just wouldn't lay still!

There Carter's goes again, more things on the butt!
It's pretty cute though.

The girls were playing with Daddy.  They barely even noticed that he was there, they were fighting over some toy.  Some how Ada always manages to lose a sock, she just can't keep it on.

So adorable!

Busy busy day.

We had lots to get done today around the house.  It seems like anytime we have a to do list, the girls are less then cooperative.  So we didn't finish our list today, but we got a couple things done.

Ada

We had some apples that we needed to use so I made an apple pie.

We have a really simple and delicious recipe.
The girls of course were in the kitchen helping.
Evie, she's pretty excited about cooking.

Don't expect any cooked pictures of the pie, it will be eaten to fast...

Very ladylike...

The next big thing we had to do was put up a baby gate! The girls have been moving around more and more so we decided that we should get a baby gate put up at the top of the stairs.

This sounds like a job for...
DADDY!

Hopefully this will keep the girls safe, but with how persistent they are if they want on the stairs I'm sure they'll find a way.

The girls were supposed to be sleeping while John put up the baby gate.  They started making some noise so we went in to see them.

Ok, doesn't look that surprising.

But she looks so darn cute when she's stuck!

We bought an excersaucer for the girls.  Only 1 so far.  We picked the excersaucer that the toys all come off because the amount of toys they put on them is UNREAL.
They don't seem to mind taking turns playing in it.

They would much rather play with their old toys then the toys that came with the excersaucer.

So maybe they're not quiet big enough to really enjoy it yet...

Ada

The girls were on the move.  They started out by their beds, rolled across the floor of their room and out the door.  With all that rolling you would think they'd be dizzy!

Good thing we put up that baby gate!

Why even bother?

We always lay out a blanket on the floor for the girls to play on.  It was always nice when they were little because it gave them something nice to lay on that was nicer then the floor.  Now that the girls are a bit more mobile, why do we even bother...

It becomes more of a game for the girls, how fast can they get off the blanket and wad it up.

Evie was pretty interested in her "bebop" chair as John calls it.
They normally don't have any interest in the chairs.
She wanted to stand up and get the chair.
So we got it down for her to sit in.

As it turns out, she wasn't interested in sitting in the chair...

She just wanted to eat the chair.

If I had a nickel for every time that I said "don't put that in your mouth..." I would probably be a millionaire!

St Patty's Day

I know, I know, I know...
I'm about 5 days late here, but Happy St Patrick's Day!

Evie and Ada

They think they're so funny...
Well they are.

The girls thought their outfits were
DELICIOUS!
Yes, those are wet spots from them trying to eat their shirts.

Evie sporting the wet look.

The girls really enjoy playing in the kitchen still.  That's nice because it actually gives me a chance to do stuff in the kitchen.  They usually cooperate pretty good and I can cook some.  This has caused some problems though.  I did not cook dinner for John the other day before he got home.  He looked about as sad as the girls do when you try to lay them down for a nap.

Ada doing her part to help with dinner.

Playing on the kitchen floor.

"How many tablespoons are in a cup again Ada?"
"I don't know, this recipe just doesn't make sense."

Evie

Ada

The girls had a great St. Patrick's day and LOVED their outfits.  How could they not love them when they look so cute.
