Poop

Do you know what it means to "blow out a diaper"
If you have a small child you do!
If not, well let's just leave it like this...
Poop
Lots and lots of poop...
That's what it takes to blow out a diaper.
Ada and Evie

Can you guess which one pooped out of their diaper, and their sleeper?

We're going to nickname the girls Rollie and Pollie, because that's exactly what they've been, rollie pollies...
The girls were laying on their blanket in their room rolling around as usual when Ada found a new place to play.

Under her sister's bed.
It wasn't enough to just wiggle her head under there.

peaking out

And on her way back out.

Evie has been rolling around as well too.  She spent at least 5 min straight rolling back and forth from her stomach to her back.
She pushed her self around so much her face rubs on the floor and she gets red cheeks!

This is the look you get when you try to get them both to stay still...
Goof balls.

Staying Home

I'm not sure if I've ever really talked about it before, but I am extremely fortunate.  I get to stay home and raise my babies.  I get to raise my girls (With a little bit of help from John when he comes home).

I know not everyone has this great opportunity, but we lucked out.

I get to stay home with this...
I get to watch them develop and grow and change.
It's great.

However, the way it works out, being a stay at home mom means just that.
I stay at home.
I don't leave.
EVER

just kidding... it just seems like that....

Who wouldn't love this...

Sleep

Good Grief!
The girls don't like to sleep anymore.
They don't take naps during the day.
They don't like to go to bed at night.
In fact they scream bloody murder when it comes time to go to bed.

That means during the day the girls look like this...
TIRED!

Of course a tired baby, or tired babies in our case, means crabby babies.

Of course they need to hold hands to help cope.  But holding hands doesn't make them less crabby.

Every now and then you get this...
Evie and Ada being EXTREMELY cute.

With how tired they are... sometimes they just pass out...
We're going to put up a sign above their cribs:
"Please keep all hands and feet inside for the duration of the ride"

Anyone got any genius ideas of how to get them to take a nap during the day?

(By the way, the last picture posted yesterday was Evie.)

Another day

The girls have been trying to get into everything recently!  They're only 7 months old (it's crazy to think they're this old already) and they're already trying to get everywhere.
They like to play in the curtains.  That will HAVE to stop.
They want the remote controls, the cell phones, and pretty much anything else that they shouldn't have.

Evie's favorite toy is whatever toy Ada has.  Ada has a new favorite toy as well...
Yep, Ada LOVES the toy bucket.

She's not overly interested in the toys, just the bucket.  The rope in particular must taste pretty good.

I know it's a bit late, but for everyone that was concerned, Yes...
John did get me something for Valentine's Day.

Like I said, Evie LOVES whatever toy that he sister has.
It looks like Ada has started to catch on and is holding on to that toy pretty strong.

The girls have been very interested in their feet for several weeks now.  They love to try to get their socks off to suck on them.  Sometimes they'll play with their feet for a long time.  Sometimes their feet aren't interesting enough for them...
But Ada's feet are pretty irresistible to Evie.  I guess I can't blame her, they are pretty darn cute.
On another note, Evie's arms look pretty buff in these cute shirts.
The shirts say "My Auntie Loves Me"
It doesn't take many guesses where these outfits came from...

Well, I guess I better leave you with on more photo...

Trying to figure out who that is?

That should keep you busy until tomorrow...

Hard to pass up

These were just WAY to cute to not share...
Sure there's not any great story here.
But does this really need a story?

Ada

Evie

No story necessary with these faces!

Finally

We finally broke down and did it...
After six months we broke down and bought the first article of clothing for the girls.
Yes, we haven't bought clothing for the girls ever!
We bought them new stocking hats, and they're pretty darn cute!

Evie in her newsboy hat!

Ada in her ear flap hat!

Ok, so the pictures don't give the hats justice, so we can't wait to get some great pictures outside with them!

Really...

What do you think Evie sees?
It could be something pretty exciting.
She was seeing this...

Is that Ada sitting?
Well, kind of.  She's got the first step to sitting.
This is pretty exciting!

Red Velvet

We decided to make one of Daddy's favorites for him, Red Velvet Cupcakes.
Do we get to lick the beaters Mama?
PLEASE!!!

Wait a second, are those your pants you're holding Ada?

I finally got to use my frosting pen!

All that's left from the cupcakes...
I think Daddy liked them.

Proud Daddy

Let me start off... we lost the internet late yesterday.  The girls were not happy.   So we txt Daddy... he had to make a stop on his way home to pick up a new modem!  The girls didn't want the loyal followers to go a day without posting and pictures...

We have one proud Daddy...

But how could you not when you have sweet hearts like this...

Personalities

We get asked all the time if the girls have developed their own personalities.
It's fair to say that they DEFINITELY both have their own personalities.
John likes to say that Evie is the ornery one (like John) and Ada is the sneaky one...
I don't disagree...
In additional to their personalities, they have quiet the expressions...
Ada with her smirk.

Evie showing off her angry eye brows.
(She's got this from her dad)

We haven't seen one of these for awhile, the girls holding hands.

No matter what the purpose of a toy is, the girls seem to make their own use.
All toys (or objects for that matter) become chew toys.
Bracelets, measuring spoons, pillows, whatever they can get their hands on.

Seriously, can you say identical?

Amazon.com

Amazon has a program for Moms and Grandparents.  And it is wonderful!

You can get baby diapers delivered right to your door in 2 days.  It's absolutely amazing.  One of the top wants for a busy mama.  Seriously.  UPS brings them right to your door.  You don't even need to change out of your PJ's and slippers to get them.  Can't you tell the excitement!?  We are every excited.

You know it's sad when you get excited about diapers being delivered to your door.

First Valentine's Day

The girls had their first Valentine's Day!
Look how excited Evie is about her 1st Valentine's Day!
Check out those hearts on her onesie from Grandma Kunkel.

Valentine's Day was full of all kinds of things...
Playing with sisters.

Smiles

Resting

and of course...
Kisses from Daddy!

but not sharing...
The girls like to fight over toys all the time now.
Valentine's Day didn't change that...

Valentine's Day

The girls cheated.
They opened their Valentine's Day gifts from Grandma and Grandpa Roberts early.
But they only did it so we could share the pictures with everyone on Valentine's Day!

Great, toys that make noise!
And of course books.

I can already tell, the talking duck is going to be a hit!

Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!

(By the way, John has yet to get me something for Valentine's Day, just saying...)
What'd you get for Valentine's Day?
